New baby's wardrobe - what do you need?
Let's start the new baby's wardrobe. Here are some suggestions to a good start and that every baby needs:
- 3 to 10 one-peice bodysuits, that open in the front with snaps to have easier access to the umbilical cord and does not ride up
- 4 to 7 stretchies with feet to keep babies warm without socks; booties don't stay on feet to long. Make sure they have snaps on bottoms for easy diaper changes.
- 3 to 6 rompers-one piece, snap at crotch (have no legs)
- 3 to 6 night gowns with elastic bottoms (easier for diaper changes)
- 2-3 blanket sleepers, assists in avoiding sids
- 1 to 3 hats that cover ears, don't buy too snug
- 1 bunting or snow outfit with attached mittens
- 2-3 pairs of booties/socks
- 3 washable bibs

Buying less newborn items (0-3 months) and focusing more on 3-6 and 6-9 month clothing will save you BIG money. Your newborn will grow super fast and will outgrow the newborn items super fast. Consider buying clothes that are comfortable and seams that are smooth and flat for less irritation to baby's skin. Always check your baby's clothing for lose snaps, buttons, and/or hooks as they can be a choking hazard.
